Due to restrictive EU legislation the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council was aiming to network with companies based in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America at Anuga 2019. Greg D. Tyler discussed the potential for trading with the UK market following its departure from the single market, although noted that fears surrounding chlorinated chicken could be a key challenge. He also noted that there is space for both animal- and plant-based products and that some consumers will always seek meat.
