Work Begins on Cosun Innovation Centre
21 May 2015 --- Construction of the new Cosun Innovation Centre in Dinteloord has officially started. Amid great interest, the cooperative´s Chairman and Vice-Chairman joined forces to drive home the first foundation pile.
Work on the centre’s under-piling began on Monday 11 May and the last pile is due to be driven home at the end of May. Work will then begin on the superstructure. The new building is expected to be taken into service in the second quarter of 2016. The construction work is being carried out by the Hurks-Imtech consortium.
The Cosun Innovation Centre is being built at Nieuw Prinsenland, the business park in Dinteloord that is home to Suiker Unie and Nova Lignum. More businesses in and linked to the agro-food industry will locate on the site in the future.
