Wild Receives Accreditation as Independent Test Lab
Since December 2006, the staff at the accredited test laboratory have now been analyzing beverages, fruit preparations, dairy and soy products, as well as concentrates, basic ingredients or flavors for the food and beverages industry.
12/01/07 In December 2006, WILD was accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie (DACH) – an accreditation authority – as an independent test laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. As a result, the analysis of food and beverages as well as basic ingredients and semi-finished products for the food and beverage industry carried out by WILD Global Analytical Services complies with international quality standards. During the development of new concepts or the optimization of existing products, WILD customers will be offered the exclusive service to have these analyzed and be supplied with internationally recognized test results due to validated testing procedures.
The WILD laboratory had already been certified according to ISO 9001. Since December 2006, the staff at the accredited test laboratory have now been analyzing beverages, fruit preparations, dairy and soy products, as well as concentrates, basic ingredients or flavors for the food and beverages industry in accordance with internationally recognized standards. These analyses involve testing products for ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, types of sugar, sweeteners or preservatives.
In addition, samples from storage tests are examined to determine the breakdown of ingredients. Specialists at WILD also test functional ingredients, such as polyphenolics and athocyanins, and have developed new methods of analysis especially for this purpose.
On the one hand, this accreditation confirms the expertise of the personnel at WILD and the validity of the test methods used. On the other hand, WILD’s customers benefit from the fact that the analyses are carried out independently and in accordance with internationally accepted standards, with the results being internationally comparable and recognized. Consequently, WILD customers can be assured that the company’s own laboratory will provide them with absolutely neutral and independent results from complex and time-consuming ingredient analyses, thus sparing them the effort of sample handling with external laboratories.
With the accreditation of its test laboratory, WILD, the largest private producer of natural ingredients for the food and beverage industry, once again demonstrates its high level of quality awareness.
