VION Ingredients appoint Villaume Kal as Rousselot Director

VION Ingredients, global market leader for gelatine, and with the core activity of adding value to proteins and fats, announces it has appointed Villaume Kal in the position of President of Rousselot, effective 4th of March 2013. Villaume Kal succeeds Bruno Saquet who will retire at the end of July.

6 Mar 2013 --- Villaume Kal (42) will take charge of the Rousselot business unit within VION Ingredients. Before joining Rousselot, Villaume Kal has worked for more than 15 years at Royal DSM in the global B2B pharmaceutical, food specialties and industrial biotechnology industries. His latest position was Vice President of DSM BioSolutions, where he focused on customer development and manufacturing services for pharma, food and industrial biotechnology clients. He has an MSc degree in Bio-organic Chemistry from the University of Leiden.

Villaume Kal has a strong international focus and a broad experience in the pharmaceutical, food specialties and fine chemicals industries. He will facilitate Rousselot to achieve its strategic goals while continuing focus on business commitments and high customer satisfaction.

Bruno Saquet (62) will work together with Villaume Kal during a transitional period. At the end of July, Bruno Saquet will have served Rousselot for more than 27 years. Bruno Saquet has been the architect of Rousselot’s international development and growth and allowed the company to reclaim its position as the world leading gelatine producer.
