Upfront Chromatography Joins the InSPIRe-network

Upfront is the market leader in industrial scale chromatographic extraction and the partnership with other players in the food ingredients market is the key to successful projects. InSPIRe has the focus to create innovation in the food ingredients area by strong cooperation between the industry and academia.

 

The InSPIRe-project is financed by the participating companies and by the Danish Ministry of Science and has the goal to be the leading platform in Denmark for research in food industry by 2017. Upfront Chromatography is the leading global provider of industrial scale chromatographic extraction technology. The company is located in Copenhagen, Denmark and operates around the world mainly with the food processing industry. 

 

Upfront’s technology is already used globally at commercial-scale for the production of food enzymes, protein ingredients and bioactive components. The co-operation under the InSPIRe-platform is a logical extension of Upfront’s participation in the innovation consortium NIGE, Natural Ingredients and Green Energy, focusing on sustainable isolation techniques. In the NIGE-project companies and researchers in co-operation are developing new technologies and adjusting existing ones to utilize waste-products for energy production.
