26 June 2012 --- To meet increasing demand for functional ingredients and a growing portfolio of customers nationwide, leading clean label ingredients manufacturer Ulrick & Short Ltd has strengthened its technical division with the appointment of John Ellis.

Taking up the new post of field support technologist, John will work closely with the company's team of experienced sector managers and will be responsible for providing, both new and existing customers with onsite and offsite application and development support.

At each stage of product development, John will be on hand to assist the company's food technologists and help overcome any formulation obstacles. A key part of his responsibility will be to provide product demonstrations and technical back-up reassurances for customers. This is particularly important for customers who are looking to introduce a new ingredient into their recipe formulations.

With over 15 years of experience working across a multitude of food areas including bakery, meat, ready meals, sauces and dairy, John has the perfect skill sets to represent Ulrick & Short across all its core manufacturing sectors.
