Tribe Mediterranean Foods Serves Up Delicious Culinary-Inspired Varieties and “Goes Green” with New Look
Tribe has unified its product lines under a single design and package, making it easier than ever for consumers to spot their favorite flavors and view the hummus inside.
Aug 9 2011 --- Tribe Mediterranean Foods, dedicated to making only the best all natural hummus, announced four new flavors to its already robust portfolio of hummus, as well as eye-catching green packaging for the entire product line.
Tribe’s four new products are original topped hummus recipes that use the highest quality, all natural ingredients:
* Cilantro Chimichurri: a zesty blend of fresh cilantro and spices inspired by the South American classic
* Olive Tapenade: chopped Mediterranean olives with savory herbs
* Savory Mushroom: earthy and flavorful with a rich assortment of spices
* Mediterranean Style: a light drizzle of olive oil and dusting of paprika on top of classic hummus
“Tribe fans continue to seek hummus that ranges from traditional to a bit more daring,” said Carlos Canals, president and Chief Tribal Officer of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. “Our new culinary-inspired flavors address this demand by bringing in exotic spices and herbs from across the globe, while also maintaining our commitment to serving hummus the way it was meant to be crafted – with nothing artificial.”

The company offers a wide selection of hummus in 19 flavors and two styles: blended, where ingredients are fully incorporated into the product; and topped (formerly called Tribe Origins), featuring recipe-inspired toppings. Tribe also produces three varieties of USDA-certified 100-percent organic hummus. All Tribe Hummus products will now be available in new 8 oz. containers with green lids. Select flavors are also available in 16 oz. sizes.
“Tribe is continuing to make the authentic and delicious hummus our consumers know and love, but we are now ‘going green’ in more ways than one,” said Carlos Canals, president and Chief Tribal Officer of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. “Not only will our packaging feature a consistent green color for all varieties, the new 100-percent recyclable container also allows us to save more than 200,000 pounds of plastic from entering landfills each year.”
In conjunction with the new packaging, Tribe is also offering its Mediterranean Style, Cilantro Chimichurri, Olive Tapenade, Zesty Spice & Garlic, and Spicy Red Pepper Hummus in a larger 16 oz. tub perfect for sharing, joining four existing flavors in that size.
