The Alkaline Water Company’s public offering for “perfect pH” bottled drink expected to raise US$5M
05 May 2022 --- The Alkaline Water Company has announced a public offering expected to raise approximately US$5 million.
The company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes, including, but not limited to, repayment of indebtedness and increasing working capital expenditures.
“The public offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering,” states the brand.
Founded in 2012, The Alkaline Water Company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.
Aegis Capital Corp. is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
“Perfect pH” drinking water
The brand’s flagship product, Alkaline88, is an alkaline water brand available in bulk and single-serve sizes along with eco-friendly aluminum packaging options.

In 2021, The Alkaline Water Company added former US basketball player Shaquille O’Neal to its board of advisors and to serve as the celebrity brand ambassador for Alkaline88.
In 2018, the company – following the passage of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (Farm Bill) – made moves to become the first US beverage companies to bring the true water-soluble, full-spectrum features of bioactive cannabidiol (CBD) molecules from hemp plants in its brand A88 Infused.
The CBD waters were branded as Soothe and were made available in the 500 ml size with a dosage of 8.8 mg of hemp-extract per bottle.
Hydration innovation
Proponents of the alkaline water trend suggest that consuming this higher pH level beverage may help with immunity, hydration and neutralizing acid in the bloodstream.
During the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, sales of the UK’s first alkaline ionized bottled water brand, Actiph, reportedly doubled.
Other brands have experimented with elevating their appeal further with added functional benefits, such as Flow Alkaline Spring Water’s spring water infused with 10 g of grass-fed, pasture-raised collagen.
