Thanasi Foods and FRENCH's Foods Plan to Launch a New Line of Snacks Featuring FRANK'S RedHot Sauces
The initiative complements Thanasi Foods' successful line of Jim Beam snack foods by targeting additional retail channels and new consumer segments.
06/10/06 Thanasi Foods, LLC, a leading developer and supplier of household branded foods, and FRENCH's Foods, a division of Reckitt Benckiser Inc., owner of FRANK'S RedHot Sauces, today announced plans for a delicious new line of snack foods featuring FRANK'S RedHot Sauces. The initiative complements Thanasi Foods' successful line of Jim Beam snack foods by targeting additional retail channels and new consumer segments. The new products will include various jerky and salty snacks to launch in 2007.
"The FRANK'S RedHot Brand is perfect for meat snacks and salty snacks," said Justin Havlick, President and CEO of Thanasi Foods. "The Brand has tremendous heritage, a loyal fan following, and proprietary ingredients that deliver the perfect blend of flavor and heat," he added. "FRANK'S is known for giving food a surge of its signature flavor, and that's what you can expect from FRANK'S RedHot snacks," concluded Havlick.
FRANK'S RedHot is the original sauce used to create the first Buffalo wings in Buffalo, New York in 1964. "Today, some 50 years later, FRANK'S RedHot lovers splash our product on everything from burgers and chicken to snacks like popcorn," said Jorge Flores, Sr. Brand Manager, FRANK'S RedHot of Reckitt Benckiser. "Now, FRANK'S RedHot will be firing up the flavor of jerky and salty snacks to give a whole new deliciously hot experience."
The agreement between Thanasi Foods and FRANK'S RedHot was facilitated by Brandgenuity, LLC, FRANK'S RedHot licensing agency of record. "This is a great example of a strategic brand extension -- and true business development. FRANK'S has permission to play in a number of near-in food categories and by licensing the name to category experts the brand will get there faster and smarter," said Louis Drogin, Managing Director of Brandgenuity.
