18/12/06 Taura Europe is celebrating 10 years of operation in serving the nutritious snack food industry.
Based in Olen, Belgium, Taura Europe is the European manufacturing and customer service headquarters of Taura Natural Ingredients, a prime mover in the development of the new wave of functional fruit and savoury ingredients for the nutritional snack and bakery industry.
Strategically positioned in the geographical centre of Europe, Taura opened the purpose-built, full-service R&D, product design and manufacturing facility in 1997.
BRC certified, the sophisticated Olen facility serves increasing European and US customer growth. At the heart of the company’s success is its URC (Ultra Rapid Concentration) technology, which has enabled manufacturers to deliver new food categories, previously difficult to achieve.
During the 10 years of its operation, Taura Europe has seen demand for its URC range expand exponentially, as manufacturers and customers worldwide seek “true to life” ingredients in a host of innovative, nutritious snacks.
The URC product range encompasses pieces, flakes and pastes, in a comprehensive range of fruit offerings. Delivering bake stable, low water activity ingredients; the process speed ensures that the fruit retains high original flavour, colour and nutritional characteristics. No sugar added fruits are possible and the URC range does not contain preservatives.

These facilities are complemented by dedicated customer support offices in the UK, Australia and US, including a Selling Partner Network across the globe to ensure the highest level of service and continuity of supply worldwide.
