Residents of Tampa and Orlando, Florida have flooded the Internet social sites looking for the healthy nerve tonic soda called Purple Stuff because no other soda compares in taste, healthiness, personality, coolness or delivered function.

Funktional Beverages, Inc., the manufacturer of Purple Stuff, has signed a distribution agreement with Thirsty Pig Distribution to stock store shelves in Orlando as well as retailers in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakeland, Plant City, Saratoga, Bradenton, Sanford and Kissimmee markets.

Keith Gallops, President of Thirsty Pig Distribution Company, stated, "We have been following Purple Stuff very closely for three years we built our market with other drinks from the relaxation category. From the very beginning, consumers have been requesting the Purple Stuff brand. The consumer requests have grown so rapidly that the stores have concluded this is a brand issue and that Purple Stuff is unique and therefore other brands will not substitute for their fans. When I went online and saw that Purple Stuff had 125,000 more Facebook fans than the other relaxation brands had combined I decided to bring it in to our house. Purple Stuff fans are interactive with the company. I saw posts of love, and even a marriage proposal to the soda. This is just different from everybody else," Mr. Gallops concluded.

Shannon Thompson, Midwestern Sales manager for Funktional Beverages, Inc., explained, "While other brands think there is a category of no energy in your life sodas, the reality is that Consumers are an intelligent species and they want all their energy, but without the sugar crash or ingredients that make them drowsy. Many people do not like the caffeine jitters they get from HFCS and caffeine. They view relaxation as anti-anxiety and not as anti-energy. Purple Stuff calms you down, so you can focus on your work."

Heather Duchesneau, Logistics Dept. at Funktional, added, "Purple Stuff has more of the active ingredient from green tea per ounce than any green tea on the market does. This drink is healthy and tastes great, but us girls love Purple Stuff cause it's Purple… every flavor."
