Takasago to Establish Subsidiary and Construct New Factory
08 Aug 2013 --- Takasago will establish a subsidiary and construct a new factory in Japan. The company group has been carrying out reconstruction of our production system after the fire accident at Hiratsuka factory on April 10, 2013.
In order to implement the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) of the entire group and streamline production, which the company had been deliberating for some time, they will establish a new factory in Western Japan.
“With the new factory, we will diversify manufacturing locations, streamline logistics from manufacturing to delivery in the region, and improve our productivity with the latest equipment. This way, we will try to enhance our customers’ satisfaction.”
“Our company group is also in the process of reviewing the safety system. Thus, at the new factory, we will pursue high level of security and achieve safety, health and environment that holistically takes into account environmental concerns, etc.”
The subsidiary, Takasago West Japan Co., Ltd. was established on July 16, 2013 for the production of flavors, with a capital of 10 million yen (100% owned subsidiary by Takasago International Corporation). The expected starting of business is early 2015 (plan).
