Premium flavors at competitive prices, creative ideas for new products – and the taste that consumers in the Middle East really love: That is Symrise’s mission at Gulfood in February 2010.
8 Jan 2010 --- On 21-24 February 2010, Symrise will be represented at the Ingredients Middle East/Gulfood trade exhibition with numerous, regionally tailored product concepts and taste solutions. This will be the first major appearance by Symrise’s new Dubai subsidiary in the region.
Premium flavors at competitive prices, creative ideas for new products – and the taste that consumers in the Middle East really love: That is Symrise’s mission at Gulfood in February 2010. The German supplier will present numerous new product concepts and authentic taste solutions for beverages, sweet and spicy foods, and snacks.
Ralf Streicher, Vice President Sales EAME, explains: “The Middle East is one of the key markets for Symrise. We recently founded a subsidiary in Dubai; in November we acquired Futura Labs Group in Egypt and Dubai. Both measures are contributing substantially to our ability to offer our clients in the Middle East even better and faster access to our products, services, and state of the art production sites. We are very pleased that we are now able to present customized solutions for the region at Gulfood!”
In the beverage segment, one area of focus at the trade exhibition will be dry emulsions. Thanks to its unique encapsulation expertise, Symrise can offer the highest-quality solutions for distinctive taste profiles. Additional advantages of dry emulsions: They do not need preservatives, they demonstrate excellent stability even under hot climatic conditions, and they are microbiologically safe.
The “Optimalt & Maltsymprover” portfolio is a revolution in improving the taste of non-alcoholic malt beverages. The flavors, which were developed exclusively by Symrise in the last three years, generate completely authentic malt flavors and beer profiles.
Additional highlights in the beverage area are energy shots for quick energy on the go. They combine not only convenience with good taste and high stability, but they also offer four times more caffeine than standard products. Iced lemonades provide cool enjoyment even in the hottest climate, while instant drinks refresh consumers with fruits, herbs, or flowers – just like the traditional refreshment drinks in the region. Instant tea drinks can be prepared cold or hot. The combination of high technological expertise and unique ingredients creates the typical black tea taste with unusual fruity or flowery taste accents.
In the sweet foods segment, Symrise is introducing a new range of taste solutions for baked goods: Extracts as well as natural and nature-identical flavors enable the industry to give their products a distinctive taste profile or to vary existing recipes in such a way that the taste consumers know and prefer does not suffer as a result.
Microcandy will turn out to be another buzzword at Gulfood: Extracted, sugar-free particles ensure a crisp texture, optimal taste, and an “explosive” release of taste in the mouth in several stages. Additional advantages: A long shelf life of 24 to 48 months.
In the area of spices, Symrise will establish itself as the specialist for high quality at competitive prices. Symrise meat flavors for chicken, beef, or lamb will be presented at Gulfood under the motto “meat flavors with an impact” – all of the flavor solutions comply with the cultural and regulatory requirements of the region. For snacks Symrise is introducing a new, inexpensive set of products, which contains the most popular regional seasonings.
