SVZ strengthens position in Asia

20 Jul 2017 --- SVZ has announced that it is to open a representative office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, offering local support to customers in the Asian region. A new sales manager, Kevin Cheong, has also been appointed to support strategic growth in Asia.

The new office underlines SVZ’s commitment to strengthen its position in Asia’s dynamic food and drink industry by offering premium, traceable fruit and vegetable ingredients and unparalleled agronomy expertise in the region, as well as supporting customers and bolstering strategic relationships.

The company’s new sales manager, Cheong, joins SVZ on 1 August, with a wealth of experience in food ingredients and a degree in food science and technology. Previously sales director at PureCircle, Cheong will be instrumental in growing SVZ’s fruit and vegetable business and provide on-the-ground customer support to customers in Asia.

Anouk ter Laak, CEO of SVZ, comments: “Our investment in Kuala Lumpur is key to furthering our business in the Asian market; an area that is already exhibiting strong growth. We’re pleased to welcome Kevin to the SVZ team, too – he will be invaluable in improving our Asian customer service offering. This is another step in SVZ’s path to becoming the leading global supplier of fruit and vegetable ingredients for the international food and beverage industry, and we’re confident we will see this success continue in the future.”
