09/11/06 The holidays will be especially colorful this year as United Biscuits' KP Nuts unveils new Christmas-themed paperboard cans from Sonoco. The six-color litho-printed paper labels on the cans of peanuts feature festive eye-catching, shiny, varnish-enhanced graphics and an elegant silver cap.

Sonoco is supplying United Biscuits with a 99 x 160mm gas-flushable paperboard can for four flavors in the KP Nuts product line: dry roasted peanuts (560 grams), original salted jumbo peanuts (600 grams), honey roasted peanuts (620 grams) and sweet chili peanuts (620 grams). The can, constructed of two layers of spirally wound paperboard and an interior barrier liner, is hermetic to protect the freshness of the peanuts.

To help consumers to enjoy their KP Nuts, the package has a Sealed-Safe® foil membrane closure, which includes a tab to make it easy for consumers to remove the top of the can. The container's silver cap makes it easy for consumers to reclose and helps the package shine on store shelves.

KP Nuts in Christmas-themed paperboard cans from Sonoco are available at all major retailers throughout the United Kingdom through the holidays.
