Snapple Founder launches all-natural Waddajuice

09/11/05 A parenting breakthrough for kids of all ages: Jordan Kerner crossed paths with grandfather of 12 and Snapple founder, Arnold Greenberg, who instantly became an advocate, and together, Greenberg and Kerner launched Waddajuice. As the founder of Snapple, Arnold has been a mentor to Jordan providing guidance and wisdom in launching the product to market. Having seen many products launched in the past 14 years and being solicited by many but not seeing any that peaked his interest, Arnold immediately wanted to help Waddajuice become an important product to kids and parents everywhere. With Greenberg's guidance the original concept has now become a product that every parent will be excited about and kids of all ages will love.

With a catchy name and a kid-approved taste, Waddajuice, the healthy on-the-go juice beverage with an innovative kids sports cap, announces its launch. The idea started with the advice of a pediatrician who opened a parent's eye to the growing childhood obesity epidemic. Waddajuice offers the combination of health and convenience all one container. Waddajuice is made with wholesome ingredients, no added sweeteners, flavors, dyes, preservatives or additives, and contains half the sugar, calories and carbohydrates of other fruit juices. A typical apple juice box (only 6.75 oz.) contains 90 calories, 23 grams of carbohydrates and 21 grams of sugars. Waddajuice's Apple flavor (8 oz.) has nearly 20 percent more liquid and contains only 50 calories, 14 grams of carbohydrates and 13 grams of sugar.

With the most innovative packaging design to hit the juice market in many years, Waddajuice provides the first of its kind spill-proof sports cap. Waddajuice is the only pasteurized juice packaged with a specialty closure that does not have a heat seal under the cap. This unique design allows children to easily pop off the overcap, remove a small seal and drink away.

In addition to a number of nutritional benefits and its revolutionary packaging, Waddajuice offers 100 percent of Vitamin C, 10 percent of calcium and 10 percent of the four essential B vitamins. Waddajuice is packed just as pediatricians recommend, with a healthy dose of (purified) water to help fight dehydration while reducing sugar content and comes in four delicious kid- favorite flavors, Apple, Orange, Wild Berry and White Grape, each bottled in an 8 oz, plastic, easy-to-hold container.

The product of scouring supermarket aisles for a healthy, spill-proof beverage to include in his children's lunch boxes or watering down the sugary, 100 percent pure fruit juices, Jordan Kerner conceived Waddajuice. Although he found juice boxes and pouches available, packaging was prone to spills, not resealable and contained juice high in sugar and calories. Concerned with the amount of sugar his two young sons consumed because they would not drink water or milk but only juice, Kerner recognized the need for a packaged, healthier, less caloric beverage for children. "For years, parents have been watering down fruit juices in order to create a "healthier" beverage for their children, particularly with current medical advice from pediatricians and pediatric dentists on the excesses associated with other juice products," explains Kerner. "Children want a beverage with taste, but parents are concerned with the excessive sugars that go along with it. In addition, parents are constantly looking for products that offer the most convenience, without a mess. Until Waddajuice, the combination of healthy, pre-filled convenience and spill-proof in a children's beverage just wasn't available."

Waddajuice is a nutritious, natural and great-tasting beverage packaged to prevent spills and offer convenience that makes both parents and children happy. Additionally, with child obesity rates and childhood diabetes on the rise, Waddajuice is a positive choice for a child's healthy lifestyle.

Waddajuice is the all-natural, on-the-go juice drink with less than half the sugar of other juices, made especially for kids. Based in Westport, Connecticut, Waddajuice was founded in 2003 by Jordan Kerner, an entrepreneur and father of two. Bottled in a spill-proof container, Waddajuice is available in Apple, Orange, Wild Berry and White Grape flavors. All flavors have 100 percent of vitamin C RDI, 10 percent of calcium RDI and 10 percent of the four essential B vitamins RDI per container (RDI refers to children ages one to eight).
