19/05/05 This June, Smirnoff® Vodka -- the number one-selling vodka in the United States -- adds the dark, rich flavor of black cherry to its popular line of flavored vodkas. Combined with soda, Smirnoff Black Cherry becomes a refreshing cherry drink just in time for summer.
The new Black Cherry is made using the same triple distillation and proprietary filtration process that has made Smirnoff the world's number one premium vodka brand. In fact, Smirnoff recently surpassed 21 super-premium vodkas in The New York Times ("Dining Out" section) blind tasting of January 26, 2005. They cited it as, "Pure, clean and ultra smooth, with pleasing texture and classic vodka aroma."
Smirnoff Black Cherry joins the Smirnoff flavor portfolio, which is also the number one-selling flavored vodka line in the country. Other flavors in the family include the summery Watermelon; the ripe berry essences of Strawberry, Cranberry, and Raspberry; the aromatic Vanilla; the tangy Citrus, sweet Orange and the pleasantly tart Green Apple. All are available in 50-ml, 375-ml, 750-ml, 1L and 1.75L sizes. The 750-ml bottle is expected to sell for $12.99.
