Sjoerd Galema to Leave Board of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina
25 Mar 2015 --- Sjoerd Galema, member of the Board of dairy cooperative Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. and member of the Supervisory Board of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V., has decided, in consultation with the Board of the cooperative, to stand down as a Board member and to relinquish his associated role on the Supervisory Board, with effect from 24 March 2015.
Sjoerd Galema has served in both capacities since December 2011, when he was appointed to the Board by the Member Council of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina.
Sjoerd Galema said of his decision: ‘I can look back on a rewarding period in the dairy industry, during which I was privileged to contribute to preparations for the post-milk quota era. I have now, however, decided that my future lies outside the Board and Supervisory Board of FrieslandCampina. I have greatly enjoyed my work with the Board, the Member Council and the members themselves, and I would like to thank them, the directors and the employees of FrieslandCampina for their excellent teamwork over the years. I wish them every success in the future.’
