Silver Eagle Distributors acquires portion of M.L. Wismer’s rights to distribute malt beverage products
The acquisition represents approximately fifty percent of Wismer's sales volume.
06/01/06 Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. has acquired a portion of fellow Anheuser-Busch and Modelo wholesaler, M.L. Wismer Ltd's rights to distribute malt beverage products. The acquisition represents approximately fifty percent of Wismer's sales volume. Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. is the Houston-area distributor of Anheuser-Busch and Modelo products and the number one beer distributor in the market.
The acquisition will expand Silver Eagle's territory to include South Houston, Clear Lake, Webster, Nassau Bay, Sagemont, portions of Friendswood, Pasadena and Deer Park, and a small portion of La Porte. Wismer Distributing will continue to operate from its Baytown office.
Silver Eagle serves more than 6,800 accounts in Harris, Ft. Bend and Montgomery counties. The acquisition will expand Silver Eagle's Harris county territory which will result in an 8% increase in accounts.
Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., one of the nation's largest Anheuser-Busch distributors, is a privately owned company. With more than 750 employees, the company currently operates four branches in the greater Houston area--a facility located near downtown Houston and facilities in Rosenberg, Cypress and Conroe.
