23 Feb 2015 --- Shmaltz Brewing Company starts the year 2015 in fine fashion with an ambitious brewing schedule featuring seven limited-edition seasonal brews and two variety 12-packs.
This year, the Upstate New York brewery continues its award-winning barrel-aged series, hops program, Belgian-inspired releases, sessionable beers, and winter holiday offerings. Joining Shmaltz’s year-round line-up in May 2015, Slingshot Hoppy American Lager becomes a staple of their annual portfolio and will be available in 6-packs.
Kick-starting the Spring/Summer 2015 season, Shmaltz releases a brand new blend of Funky Jewbelation featuring six ales and lagers aged in bourbon and rye whiskey barrels. Bock Bock marks a brand new barrel-aged imperial American bock, aged in half Jim Beam and half Heaven Hill whiskey barrels. For all the hop heads out there, the limited-edition release ofWishbone Session Double IPA adds a delightful “sessionable” option for any summer occasion. The Hops In He’brew Variety Pack will be available for 4 months and includes: Wishbone Session Double IPA, Hop Manna, Genesis Dry Hopped Session Ale, and Slingshot. Shmaltz also continues its immaculate collaboration with Cathedral Square for the July 2015 release of St. Lenny’s Belgian IPA.
Fall/Winter 2015 brings Shmaltz’s fifth installment of Reunion Ale ’15 – A Beer for Hope alongside Terrapin Beer Company and Alan Shapiro to raise money for the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research. In addition to Death Of A Contract Brewer being available year-round in 22 oz. bottles, Shmaltz releases the Black IPA in 4-packs from August – October 2015 to set the scene for Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos.
