Ruby Tuesday plans Saudi Arabia expansion
An agreement with franchisee Marssana International Trading Co. includes four restaurants planned for the Central and Western provinces of Saudi Arabia.
28/02/06 Casual dining chain Ruby Tuesday, Inc. has announced the establishment of a Ruby Tuesday franchise in Saudi Arabia. The agreement with franchisee Marssana International Trading Co. includes four restaurants planned for the Central and Western provinces of Saudi Arabia.
Ruby Tuesday, Inc., a publicly traded company, currently owns, operates and franchises more than 825 casual dining restaurants in the United States and around the world. This marks the company's second venture in the Middle East. There are currently Ruby Tuesdays in Salmiya and Kuwait City, Kuwait.
The Ruby Tuesday concept was born more than 30 years ago, when current Chairman and CEO Sandy Beall opened the first restaurant near the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Since then, the company has grown to 825 company-owned and franchised restaurants in 42 states, the District of Columbia and operations in locations around the world. Ruby Tuesday, Inc. is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
