07/03/08 A custom moulded tub from RPC Bebo Plastik has given Homann the ideal format for its newly launched “Gourmet” range of premium wet salads.
Already the market leading producer of wet salads in Germany, Homann has created the “Gourmet” concept to further enhance its reputation and distinguish itself from the competition. The range includes a variety of delicious flavours and exclusive ingredients such as salmon in mustard-dill dressing, king prawns in pineapple-ginger sauce or cheese bits in honey-mustard gravy.
Finding the right packaging concept was essential to meeting the premium nature of the range, and Homann turned to RPC Bebo Plastik for the strength of the long-term supply relationship and its development capabilities.
The compact square design assists on-shelf stackability as well as providing a single-serve format for convenient enjoyment. The 125g tub is thermoformed in ‘glass clear’ APET with a blue lid for an outstanding visual effect, which is enhanced with an in-mould label on the lid, and an innovative cardboard sleeve that is wrapped vertically around the tub.
