Rousselot Announces Price Increase for its Gelatines and Hydrolyzed Collagens
This is due to feed and production cost increases and the growing demand in protein products from Asian and Eastern Europe countries developing scarcity on the world markets.
15/10/08 Rousselot, the worldwide leader in gelatine and hydrolyzed collagen announces an increase of its prices on all continents. Sustained increases in transportation costs, a structural high level of energy costs and high costs of raw materials have prompted this pricing action.
During the last months the industry has registered a continued and significant escalation in the prices of raw materials of animal origin. This is due to feed and production cost increases and the growing demand in protein products from Asian and Eastern Europe countries developing scarcity on the world markets.
The Rousselot Group has undertaken continued efforts to internally compensate this situation but can no longer absorb such dramatic cost increases, explains Laurent Weber, VP Sales and Marketing of Rousselot. This new pricing is key to maintaining a viable business and service to our customers. In this demanding situation, our worldwide teams are committed to supply our customers with the best level of quality, technical support and service.
Price increases are effectively immediately on all Rousselot new quotations. All Rousselot customers are being contacted by Rousselot sales representatives to address the new pricing policy.
