31/05/06 Hot-selling Rosa’s Original Horchata is the world’s first and only bottled and ready-to-drink version of the popular traditional Mexican rice-water beverage horchata (“or-CHAH-tah”) – and now the in-demand beverage sensation is available nationally at select Walgreens, America’s largest pharmacy chain. Cool, creamy Rosa’s Original Horchata beverages can be purchased coast to coast in 35 of the 45 states in which Walgreens pharmacies are found.

Rosa’s Original Horchata beverages are currently offered at approximately 700 Walgreens stores in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Walgreens carries all three flavors – original, strawberry and melon – in a 15-oz. resealable glass bottles emblazoned with a full-color portrait of the beverage’s namesake.

Walgreen Co. is the nation's largest drugstore chain with fiscal 2005 sales of $42.2 billion. This drugstore chain is leading the way in the beverage space by introducing Rosa's Original Horchatas – traditional Mexican beverages with ready to drink convenience.

Additionally in a separate agreement, the in-demand product can now be purchased at local H-E-B stores, a leading grocery chain in Texas and Mexico, which is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.
