Redhook Brewery Rebrands Spring Seasonal, Again
07 Jan 2013 --- The Redhook Brewery is once again changing the name of its spring seasonal.
Last year, Redhook changed the name of the beer to “Nut Brown,” calling it an effort to “keep it simple.” However, in an attempt to give the brand a more sustainable identity, Redhook will return to the original moniker for the beer, Mudslinger Brown Ale.
Brady Walen, a spokesman for Craft Brew Alliance (which owns Redhook) told Brewbound.com that consumers had an easier time identifying Mudslinger.
“Mudslinger better conveys the Redhook personality and the name is a little more exciting,” he said. “Overall, it is a better fit for the Redhook brand.”
The beer will make its long-awaited return in April and will have a suggested retail price of $7.99 per 6-pack.
