Raisio to Renew the Organisation of its Brands Division
18 Dec 2014 --- Raisio Group will renew the organisation of its Brands Division that includes snacks and cereals, Benecol, Benemilk and confectionery.
Starting on 18 December 2014, Tomi Järvenpää M.Sc. (Econ.) will be responsible for the Snacks and Cereals business of the Brands Division. He will also start as a Group Management Team member. Snacks and Cereals business includes consumer products in the UK, Finland and Russia. Tomi Järvenpää has worked for Raisio since the autumn of 2012 heading the Northern European Consumer Brands business.
Benecol business is headed by Mikko Laavainen. As of 18 December 2014, Benecol business will include consumer products on the markets, where Raisio itself is responsible for the sale and marketing of products, as well as the licensing and sale of plant stanol ester, the Benecol product ingredient. Raisio’s own Benecol product markets are the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Finland, Portugal and Hong Kong. Benecol products are sold in almost 30 countries around the world.
Vincent Poujardieu is responsible for Business Development and the Confectionery business. Raisio has confectionery production in the UK and Czech Republic.
Tim Londergan continues as Managing Director of the joint venture between Raisio and Intellectual Ventures. The change now made will not affect the Benemilk unit.
As of 18 December 2014, Matti Rihko, Merja Lumme, Sari Koivulehto-Mäkitalo, Antti Elevuori, Jarmo Puputti, Vincent Poujardieu, Tomi Järvenpää, Mikko Laavainen and Leif Liedes will serve as Raisio Group Management Team members.
The organisational change will not affect Raisio's financial reporting that includes Brands and Raisioagro Divisions. Under the Brands Division, the Group reports Consumer Brands by market areas as well as Licensed Brands including Benecol and Benemilk.
