22/06/07 Proseal has designed and launched a sandwich pack denester, developed to handle the growing number of cardboard skillet packs now being introduced
The new denester can be incorporated into Proseal's own SP30 and SP60 tray sealing machines to further automate the sandwich packing operation. The denester is able to handle virtually every cardboard sandwich pack design currently available. A single tool has been created for each individual design and simple adjustment is all that is then required to accommodate the different sizes within the range, thus minimising changeover times. Proseal can create tooling for all new pack designs, which can be trialled on a test machine at the company's factory in Adlington, Cheshire.
The denester uses a vacuum arm to pull each pack into shape and present it ready for the insertion of the sandwiches prior to sealing.
Set up is simple with no tools required.
'Maximising throughput is vital to the success of sandwich manufacturing operations,' explains Proseal director Rob Hargreaves.
'The addition of our denester to our proven SP60 and SP30 sandwich sealing machines provides manufacturers with both the speed and flexibility necessary for an efficient packing operation.'
