Premier Organic Farms is Fixed on Operation Expansion

07/07/06 Premier Organic Farms Group, Inc. has expanded their Abbeville, Louisiana, Aquaponics operation to increase their organic tilapia output to 3 million pounds a year. Equaling approximately one-quarter million cubic feet of water, the expansion includes the installation of 26 aquaculture tanks.
In addition, 50 greenhouses are installed that will produce 5 million heads of Organic Boston/Butter lettuce per year. The operation uses unique ecologically efficient technology which conserves and re-cycles water and nutrients for organic products growth.
In union with state and educational institutions, the Board of Directors also approved expansion into Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and other locations in Louisiana for tilapia operations.
