Thermoforming innovations include the first commercially launched thermoformed tamper evident solution for food packaging, from RPC Bebo Plastik. More lightweight than any alternative injection moulded solution, the polystyrene material provides excellent impact resistance at deep-freeze temperatures.
The RPC co-ex blow moulding cluster is forging ahead with significant investment in a new multi-cavity machine at RPC Corby, which will be commissioned in early 2007. Examples of co-ex blow moulded food containers at Emballage include jars for the high temperature processing of fruit or vegetables, upside-down bottles for ketchups & sauces, and sterilised juice bottles.
RPC Containers Llantrisant will be exhibiting its groundbreaking use of post consumer recycled (PCR) material in PET bottles. In addition, samples from its standard range will be on display, including mouthwash bottles featuring a new single piece child resistant closure manufactured by RPC Halstead.
RPC Packaging Gent and RPC Packaging Montpont will be demonstrating how their expertise in developing technically challenging projects can benefit agrochemical, automotive and food brands. A selection of custom moulded packs highlight unusual shapes, decoration or functionality will be on display, alongside examples from the sites’ successful standard ranges.
