Huhtamaki Develops Ice Cream Packaging for Polish Customer
The matt semi-transparent container and lid add value to the product and help the consumer see how much ice cream the package contains.
22/09/06 One of the top Polish ice cream producers, Kilargo, launched a premium ice cream range in Huhtamaki's injection molded and in-mold labeled packaging. The new packaging launched in July has been a success.
"Kilargo wanted to create an exclusive ice cream package. The role of the package was to differentiate the product from other ice creams and to convey a message of luxury and trendiness. The new package was developed together with Kilargo and we are very satisfied with the end product fulfilling the expectations put on it", says Joanna Grochowska, Marketing Manager for Consumer Goods Poland.
The asymmetric shape and design of the 1 liter premium packaging make it an eye-catcher in the freezer. The matt semi-transparent container and lid add value to the product and help the consumer see how much ice cream the package contains. The lid has a high-quality decoration that emphasizes the brand and taste of the product.
Injection molding assures packaging shape
The packaging has been made in a 1 liter size which is the most popular one. Both the container and lid have been made by injection molding polypropylene. Main advantages of injection molding are the high impact resistance, high-end decoration by in-mold labeling and that assymetrically shaped products can be made. The shape of the Kilargo ice-cream packaging supports the product brand and differentiates it from other similar products.
