Paterno Wines and Cuvaison Renew Long-term Exclusive Marketing Agreement
Long recognized as a leading Chardonnay producer, Cuvaison recently moved to 100 percent estate-grown wines across its portfolio with the development of Brandlin Vineyard, on Mount Veeder.
06/10/06 Paterno Wines International and Cuvaison Estate Wines announced today they have renewed their long-term exclusive marketing agreement, continuing a relationship that began in 1996.
"We're excited to extend our relationship with Cuvaison, one of the great names in Napa Valley," said William A. Terlato, President and Chief Executive Officer at Paterno. "Through our work together the brand is performing exceptionally. Cuvaison has a strong commitment to producing extraordinary estate-grown wines that exemplify our luxury-brand portfolio."
Long recognized as a leading Chardonnay producer, Cuvaison recently moved to 100 percent estate-grown wines across its portfolio with the development of Brandlin Vineyard, on Mount Veeder. In addition, in 2004 Cuvaison opened a state-of-the art winery on its Carneros estate.
"We have a passion to make great wines, and Paterno is a tremendous sales and marketing partner, bringing the fruits of our labor to the market," said Cuvaison President Jay Schuppert. "Their unique expertise in the luxury wine category has been a key factor in accelerating our growth."
Cuvaison unit sales have surged 43 percent in the calendar year to date, and while the growth has been led by Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are growing at strong double-digit rates, as well.
