P. L. Thomas Expands Sales Departments with Two Additions

Jan 5 2012 --- Paul Flowerman, president of P.L. Thomas & Co., Inc. (PLT), announced that Jennifer Thomas and Frank Gutjahr have joined PLT as the East Coast Territory Manager for Nutraceuticals Sales and as a Key Account Manager for Food Sales, respectively.
Both positions reflect the growing demand for PLT's ingredient solutions and PLT's commitment to serving its customers and strategic partners. "Consumers are increasingly seeking out dietary supplements and foods to enhance the quality of their lives through health and wellness. Ms. Thomas has a successful sales track record as a market development specialist for nutraceutical ingredients. She has previously worked at Aceto Corporation, PURAC America and B&D Nutritional Ingredients. Thomas, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, also strengthened her technical skills working as a research and development formulation chemist at Luitpold Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Mr. Gutjhar brings over 27 years of proven sales successes in food and beverage ingredient sales. He most recently was Director of Sales at First Choice Ingredients, and has also worked as Director of Sales at Firmenich, Tastemaker and Innova. Gutjhar brings to PLT impressive regional and global sales and sales management experience with major divisions of multinational corporations in flavors and ingredients.
