O’Laughlin Industries Launches Erythritol Product
The company has been producing Polyol sugar free sweeteners since 1994 when they started the production of Xylitol via a joint venture south of Shanghai. In 2008, O’Laughlin Industries established its 100% owned Polyol production facility in Tianjin.
Oct 11 2010 --- O’Laughlin Industries has launched Erythritol for use in beverages and other applications. To meet the increasing demand for Erythritol as a blending product with Stevia, the company has recently commenced production of Erythritol.
“In the time we have been in production, our quality has been recognized by major users as superior. Our Erythritol is high purity, low moisture with high flowability,” the company writes.

O’Laughlin Industries was established in 1988, headquartered in Hong Kong, and produces a range of food and flavor and fragrance ingredients, and fine chemicals. They have seven separate wholly owned factories in China and have a staff of about 500 persons. Michael O’Laughlin is the owner and chief executive (bi-lingual in Chinese, having moved to China in 1980).
