7/1/2011 --- Customers looking for gentle, overnight relief from occasional constipation will soon have an easier time spotting Senokot Tablets on the retail shelf. New packaging, prominently featuring the Senokot Laxatives Comfort Promise, will also sport a new, contemporary product design.
The Purdue Products L.P. line of laxatives will unveil its new consumer-friendly and environmentally responsible packaging at the annual National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Marketplace Conference, in Boston, June 25-28, 2011. The packaging makeover includes Senokot-S Tablets, a laxative plus stool softener for those who experience occasional constipation which may be caused by certain medications, and Senokot To Go, a convenient, easy-to-carry four-pack choice for busy consumers with on-the-go schedules.
"Customers have many choices at the retail store shelf, and we're sensitive to their anxiety about choosing the laxative that's right for them," explains Charlene Bailey, Director, Product Management, Purdue Products L.P. "Supported by market research, we've created a new package design for Senokot Tablets that addresses the needs of the customer."
The new Senokot Laxatives packages will be available to ship to drugstores as well as food and mass merchandise accounts nationwide in October of this year. The new packaging will be supported by national advertising, retail account programs, on-pack purchase incentives, and a targeted digital campaign.
According to Bailey, "The new packaging will be a boon for retailers as well. While the smaller, redesigned packages will allow for more plan-o-gram options, the contemporary design also distinguishes the brand to appropriately draw new customers into the category."
