New President and CEO at Royal Cosun
The Board has asked Robert Smith to accept the position of President and Chief Executive Officer and is confident of his success in the role. The proposed appointment has been put to the Central Works Council for advice.
07/03/08 The current President and CEO of Koninklijke Coöperatie Cosun UA, Mr C.J. Menkhorst, has announced that he intends to stand down on 1 July 2008. His proposed successor is Mr R.P. Smith.
Kees Menkhorst (60) has worked for Cosun since September 1989, serving first as Finance Director at Koninklijke VanderHave Groep for six years and then as a member of the Executive Board. He has been President and Chief Executive Officer since April 1999.
Robert Smith (47) joined Cosun in 1995, and has been Finance Director and member of the Executive Board since 2000. Between 1995 and 1999 he held various positions, including that of group controller. Before joining Cosun he worked as a public accountant at Arthur Andersen.
