17/07/07 Long Island-based Nutritious Creations has introduced a complete line of gluten-free cookies.
Free of all transfats and cholesterol, and containing no dairy, refined sugars, wheat or egg products, the new cookies were developed to help people with a wide variety of dietary restrictions to still be able to enjoy "sweet" snack foods. The entire line has no hydrogenated oils, either, which are found in the vast majority of all crackers and cookies on the market today. Kosher under the certification of the Kof-K label, the gluten-free line will be available in health and convenience stores nationwide.
The cookies are available in eight delicious flavors (carrot cake, chocolate chip, coconut chip, banana, almond, Belgian chocolate, lemon, and vanilla-hazelnut) and are a good snack option for adults and children, alike. Individuals with celiac and other gastrointestinal diseases, who in the past have had few snack food options, are a particular target market in this line's development.
