ICE CREAM CUP
Consumers can savor their favorite ice creams from "natural" cups by Alcas S.p.a. made from NatureWorks PLA. Alcas offers a complete range of products for ice cream take away made of NatureWorks PLA.
BOTTLES
Targeted for short shelf-life applications that use cold-filling techniques such as still water, fresh juices and dairy beverages, NatureWorks PLA is successful as a packaging medium because of its transparency, which allows the consumer to clearly see the product. In addition, the one-of-a-kind bottles boost brands with their natural benefits to help vie for shopper attention and shelf space.
DELI CONTAINER
French retailer, Auchan, is experiencing the "fresh-in-natural" marketing appeal of NatureWorks PLA by packaging its fresh deli foods in containers made from corn-based NatureWorks PLA. The containers are part of the Mulit-Vit packaging line produced by Vitembal (France).

VENUE CUP
Global consumer packaging company Huhtamaki (Espoo, Finland) offers BioWare, a complete range of compostable serviceware designed to meet the needs of large and small foodservice operators. Clear cold drink cups and food containers from NatureWorks PLA anchor the line that also includes plates, bowls and cutlery. Huhtamaki introduced its BioWare line at several large venues in 2004 with Belgian brewer Alken-Maes.
BREAD BAG
Film bread bags from NatureWorks PLA allow steam to escape, so bakers can package items while still hot, and forego the time and space required for cooling.
SERVICEWARE
Venues around the world are switching to serviceware from NatureWorks PLA as a responsible alternative to traditional disposables for high-traffic events. While serviceware from NatureWorks PLA looks, feels and performs like traditional plastics, it can be commercially composted after use.
PRODUCE PACKAGING
