National Foods to Sell Certain Fresh Milk Operations to Parmalat

The acquisition of Dairy Farmers agreed in 2008 forces NFL to sell those operations. Thus the sale is subject to be approved from Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

01/06/09 National Foods Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kirin Holdings Company Limited has signed an agreement with Parmalat Australia Ltd in terms of selling of certain parts of fresh milk operations.

The acquisition of Dairy Farmers agreed in 2008 forces NFL to sell those operations. Thus the sale is subject to be approved from Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

With this conclusion, the following businesses to be sold from NFL to Parmalat;
• New South Wales: License of milk brand "Pura" and manufacturing and distribution facilities at Lidcombe.

• South Australia: License of milk brand "Dairy Farmers" and manufacturing and distribution facilities at Clarence Garden.
