Multivac Shows Packaging Solutions and Labelling Systems for Bakery Products

The Multivac daughter company, Multivac Marking & Inspection, will be showing the MR625 OP cross web labeller, which applies labels highly efficiently to thermoformed packs after the sealing procedure.

20 Jul 2012 --- Multivac offers a wide range of packaging and labelling systems for fresh bread, pre-baked products, dough, cakes and patisseries. The packaging specialist from the Allgäu region will be showing at the inter-national iba trade show (16.-21. September 2012 - Hall B1, Stand 440) a wide variety of exhibits for retail and wholesale businesses as well as for the catering and hospitality industry. Multivac will also be presenting the innovative MYLAR BAKE concept.

With its R 225 model, Multivac will be showing a flexible thermoforming packaging machine, which is designed for the medium sized output range and which can pack bakery products under vacuum or with modified atmosphere. Thanks to its modular construction, the R 225 can be easily adapted to individual requirements and applications. The machine is also very flexible as regards the use of packaging materials, cutting units and formats. Both the external surfaces and the inside of the machine are optimised for hygiene and they are capable of being completely washed down. Easily removable side panels and generous cleaning spaces permit a thorough cleaning of all areas of the machine. The R 225 can be integrated in automated packaging lines.

It labels directly onto the upper web of the packs and is ideal for product labelling which changes frequently.

From its traysealer range, Multivac will be showing the high performance, semi-automatic T 250 traysealer, which seals 16 to 20 trays per minute. With its generously sized tray drawer which can be divided very flexibly, the T 250 is capable of being used with great flexibility for the packing of cakes and smaller confectionery portions. The Multivac traysealer can process different plastic, board and aluminium trays as well as the widest spectrum of upper webs.

Packing in pouches

Multivac will be presenting its two chamber machine models, the C 200 and C 400, for the packing of bakery products and ingredients in pouches. The smaller C 200, a table-top machine, can be used very flexibly due to its compact dimensions. It requires only a small footprint area and it packs quickly and efficiently with a high pump performance. Its large sister, the C 400 single chamber machine, can be set very flexibly as regards the arrangement of the sealing bars and the chamber heights. Both machines have a viewing window in the chamber lid, which gives a clear view of the packaging process and thereby simplifies operation even for inexperienced personnel.

From the freezer to the oven

Multivac is inspiring new market trends in Munich with the innovative packaging concept MYLAR BAKE. These are thermoformable films, which were specially developed for the preparation of bakery products in the oven at up to 218 degrees Celsius. The material, developed by DuPont Teijin Films, is available exclusively from Multivac in Europe, Oceania and on the American continent.
