Morgenrot Adds to Spanish Wine Range

04 Apr 2016 --- Morgenrot has strengthened its Spanish offering with the addition of Txakoli Agerre – a slightly sparkling, dry white wine made in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque country.

Produced by third generation winemaker Emilio Agerre, Morgenrot said the crisp and refreshing wine has notes of fresh citrus and green apple and pairs excellently with seafood, cured meats and hard cheeses.

Morgenrot commercial director John Critchley said: “The Spanish food and drink scene is continuing to thrive in the UK with discerning consumers showing a thirst for discovering unique products from some of the lesser known regions.

“We’re positive this new wine will be a welcome addition to our Spanish stable plus bars, restaurants and retailers around the country. This fresh, citrusy wine has great acidity and minerality and is served from a height to add a soft sparkle to the glass and some theatre.”

Txakoli Agerre (11% ABV) is available in cases of 12 with a list price of £7.96 a bottle.
