12/02/07 Ocean Nutrition Canada Limited (ONC), supplier of MEG-3 brand Omega-3 EPA/DHA food and dietary supplement ingredients, has announced that Coca-Cola Ltd. has included the MEG-3 healthy food ingredient in their Minute Maid Fruit Solutions Omega-3 juice. This new juice blend from concentrate was launched January 22 in major grocery stores throughout Canada.
Minute Maid Fruit Solutions Omega-3 is available in a Mango Orange Passion juice blend and each 250 ml serving contains 50 mg of EPA/DHA from fish oil.
DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) are the essential fatty acids important for good health and normal growth and development. Many studies have shown that DHA plays an essential role in the normal development of the brain, eyes, and nerves while EPA improves joint mobility. Together, EPA and DHA aid in the maintenance of cardiovascular function.
