Mars Makes Changes to Consumer Drinks
The fabulous taste of Mars Refuel and Galaxy drinks will change from a 310ml bottle to 388ml, meaning consumers can now relish the taste of their favourite chocolate milk drinks for longer.
08/10/08 Mars Consumer Drinks is pleased to announce a series of new and improved changes to its popular chocolate milk based drinks; Mars Refuel and Mars.
From November, the fabulous taste of Mars Refuel and Galaxy drinks will change from a 310ml bottle to 388ml, meaning consumers can now relish the taste of their favourite chocolate milk drinks for longer.
Mars Refuel has a new and improved recipe which will contain no artificial colours or flavours. The fat content has also been reduced from 2% to 1.5%.
Research from Northumbria University has confirmed that this will not affect the refueling benefits of the drink. Mars Refuel is still the ideal drink for aiding recovery after sport or exercise.
Galaxy drink also benefits from a recipe change, with the new 388ml bottle containing real Galaxy chocolate. The good news is this will not increase the fat content in fact the new recipe actually has less fat with a reduction to 1.2%.
To encourage recycling, the new bottles will be 99% recyclable thanks to a perforated strip which makes separating the materials quick and easy to do.
Bep Sandhu, trade relations manager for Mars Consumer Drinks is confident consumers will positively receive the changes; "We believe the exciting developments to Mars Refuel and Galaxy drinks will give consumers a more satisfying experience.
