K+S KALI Adopts New Organisational Model
15 Jan 2015 --- A comprehensive process analysis was implemented in K+S KALI GmbH in the past six months. Key processes were analysed and essential functions examined in order to make the company even more flexible and high-performing by means of further organisational development and with modern business processes.
As a result, a new organisational model was adopted, with greater market orientation and higher efficiency, to be achieved as of 1 January 2015. Customers and business partners of the company will profit from the new organisation, which is tailored to market and customer requirements even more firmly than before. Thus, market activities are combined into three segments (Commercial Units Fertilizer – Industry – Health Care & Nutrition) as of now. This ensures the best possible organisational support for the processes in the company.
The new organisation entails several personnel changes. Here is an overview of the most important product- and market-orientated changes as of 1 January 2015:

• K+S North America has a new head
Furthermore, Dr. Martin Brown, previously head of Supply Chain Management, now heads the distribution company K+S North America Corporation in New York with immediate effect. He therefore succeeds Gerhard Horn, who is returning to Germany after almost four years as president of the K+S North America Corporation. As of 1 May 2015 the present headquarters of K+S North America will move from New York to Chicago.
Wolfgang Wild, previously head of Overseas Distribution of K+S KALI GmbH, is taking his well-deserved retirement as of 1 April 2015 after 46 years in the German potash industry.
