Karlshamns and Danisco form cosmetics cooperation

Karlshamns will take over the sales and marketing of Danisco`s emulsifiers to the cosmetic industry.

26/01/05 Specialty fats producer Karlshamns will take over the sales and marketing of Danisco`s emulsifiers to the cosmetic industry from the 1st of February 2005. Karina Petterson business sector manager, at Lipids for Care Karlshamns told FoodIngredientsFirst that the partnership will only concern Karlshamn’s business sectors serving the cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries and that a partnership related to the marketing of ingredients was “not a topic of discussion”.
As a consequence of the cooperation, Danisco`s products will be marketed under Karlshamns` brand Akoline, all over the world. Karlshamns are expecting positive effects from the cooperation in 2005 already.
The Akoline emulsifiers are all of food-grade quality, and based only on natural raw materials. This offers new formulation opportunities for products with high functionality and first-rate bioactive properties. As an ingredient, the emulsifier is essential to achieve stability and texture in lotions and other skin-care products.
