Kapil Garg Appointed Member of the Executive Board of Royal FrieslandCampina
The business group Consumer Products International comprises the activities of FrieslandCampina in Asia, the Middle East and Africa and also the export of dairy products from the Netherlands to countries outside the European Union.

11 Jun 2010 --- The Supervisory Board of Dutch based dairy company Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. intends to appoint Kapil Garg (45) as a member of the Executive Board of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. with responsibility for the business group Consumer Products International. His appointment takes effect from 1 August 2010. Since June 2009, he has already been responsible for the activities of this business group.
The business group Consumer Products International comprises the activities of FrieslandCampina in Asia, the Middle East and Africa and also the export of dairy products from the Netherlands to countries outside the European Union. In 2009, the business group realised a turnover of 1.9 billion euro (23 per cent of FrieslandCampina’s total turnover of 8.2 billion euro). Consumer Products International has 5.860 employees (29 per cent of a total of 20,000 FrieslandCampina staff). FrieslandCampina has its own operating companies with leading brands in Indonesia (Frisian Flag), Vietnam (Dutch Lady, Friso), Thailand (Foremost, Betagen), Malaysia (Dutch Lady, Friso), Singapore (Friso), Hong Kong (Friso, Black&White), China (Friso), Saudi Arabia (Rainbow) and Nigeria (Peak and Three Crowns).
Kapil Garg has been working for FrieslandCampina since 2001 in a number of international positions. From November 2006 to June 2009, he was managing director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO in Lagos, Nigeria. Before that he worked as Controller Consumer & Trade Marketing for Consumer Products International from October 2004 to October 2006. From March 2001 to September 2004, he was marketing director at FrieslandCampina Indonesia in Jakarta. Prior to joining FrieslandCampina he worked for various companies including P.T Indococoa Specialties in Indonesia, Hero Supermarkets in Indonesia (part of the Dairy Farm Group from Hong Kong) and at Cadbury India Limited in India. Kapil Garg obtained a Bachelor in Economics and a Master of Business Administration in Delhi in India.
