Jørn Tolstrup Rohde Takes on Responsibility For All Markets in Northern & Western Europe
Carlsberg Group has been fortunate to have had two very skilled and result-oriented SVPs leading North West Europe but Jesper Friis has decided to pursue other challenges that suit his profile and ambitions and I will be sorry to see him go.
01 Oct 2012 --- Carlsberg Group announces that Senior Vice President Jørn Tolstrup Rohde takes up responsibility for a new, enlarged “Western Europe Region”. The region was previously organisationally split in Northern and Western Europe headed by Jørn Tolstrup Rohde and Jesper Friis respectively.
Jesper Friis, who has been SVP Western Europe since 2009, has decided to leave Carlsberg to take up a position as Divisions Director in the international food company Danish Crown.
Commenting on this announcement, Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen says: “Having the region under one leadership enables our resources to be further focused and aligned, whilst speeding up the implementation of common commercial capabilities and best practices across our European markets. It will also mean that our new supply chain structure will then mirror our commercial set-up.
Carlsberg Group has been fortunate to have had two very skilled and result-oriented SVPs leading North West Europe but Jesper Friis has decided to pursue other challenges that suit his profile and ambitions and I will be sorry to see him go.
Jørn Tolstrup is a highly organised leader, with a special ability to ensure execution and results. The results he has achieved both as a country CEO, and as SVP Northern Europe, speak for themselves. He has delivered on a successful commercial agenda in challenging European markets, while still motivating and developing his organisation.”
The change takes place with immediate effect.
