12/07/06 Decas Cranberry Sales, Inc. (DCS), a leading provider of cranberry-based ingredients, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey “Jeff” Carlson to the position of President and CEO.
Mr. Carlson, an industry recognized business leader, was most recently Chief Operating Officer of DCS. Previously, Mr. Carlson served as the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Growers Association and was also Pesticide Bureau Chief with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Agriculture.
DCS presently has over 165 contracted cranberry growers from Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Canada supplying two manufacturing divisions, Decas Cranberry Products, Inc. and Decas Botanical Synergies. Together, these entities process and sell over 50 million pounds of cranberries each year into more than 25 countries.
John C. Decas, the former CEO of DCS, will remain as Chairman of the Board and continue to be involved in grower relations and crop procurement.

Mr. Carlson holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Certificate of Administration and Management from Harvard University Extension School.
