Jefferson Junction, LLC to Acquire Cargill Malt Plant

Cargill Malt has signed a letter of intent with Jefferson Junction, LLC (JJ) to acquire the Cargill Malt facility in Jefferson Junction. Cargill Malt previously announced that it was ceasing malting operations at the plant on Oct. 17, 2005.
“We are very pleased to have reached agreement with Jefferson Junction,” said Cargill Malt President Doug Eden. “We hope that the entire region benefits from JJ’s significant re-investment in this important community asset.”
“Jefferson Junction’s investment at Jefferson Junction will provide even more jobs and have a beneficial economic impact for the surrounding community, as well as for the farm base,” said Paul Olsen, president, JJ.
