Jameson First Shot Third Edition Starring Uma Thurman

17 Sep 2014 --- The three winners in this year’s Jameson First Shot short film competition got to showcase their films for the first time at a special screening in Los Angeles in July, before releasing them to millions of viewers on YouTube.

Jameson First Shot is an international short film competition which offers three aspiring filmmakers from South Africa, Russia and the USA the chance to have their film produced. Under the expert guidance of Kevin Spacey as Creative Director, produced by Dana Brunetti, President of Trigger Street Production and starring Uma Thurman in a variety of roles, the three winners got the experience of a lifetime to shoot and produce their films.

The three new shorts THE MUNDANE GODDESS (writer/director: Henco J), THE GIFT (writer/director: Ivan Petukhov) and JUMP! (writer/director: Jessica Valentine) were screened to an audience of film industry faces at YouTube’s offices in LA.

Launched in 2011, the first two years of the competition have seen more than 14 million people tune in to watch the winning films starring Kevin Spacey and Willem Dafoe on Jameson’s YouTube channel or on the jamesonfirstshot website.
