Innophos Set to Launch Cal-Rise in Canada for Low Sodium Baking

7 June 2012 --- Innophos Holdings, Inc. (IPHS), a leading international producer of performance-critical and nutritional specialty ingredients, with applications in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, oral care and industrial end markets, announced that it has received regulatory approval from Health Canada to sell Cal-Rise into Canadian markets for use in food products.
Cal-Rise is a unique, slow acting, calcium based chemical leavening agent, specifically designed to reduce overall sodium content in baked goods, while maintaining the same taste profile and functionality that the baking industry has come to expect from traditional sodium based leavenings, such as SAPP 28.
